A friendly place - Encounters of a different kind Shaking leaves, touching sand offered five participatory performances presented by five artists in the project space WIRWIR in Berlin, Neukölln. I convey the participatory performative narrativa ‘How the fruit comes off the tree’. During the Shiatsu session, we were looking at late summer, the harvest time of the ripe grain and the juicy fruit that falls from the tree after a sunny and warm summer. Together, we were gathering strength and sharpen our senses to help us recognise what we need after the summer and what we can leave behind. What can detach, disolve and finally brings relieve? After the distraction of the summer heat, we return to our roots and get in touch with the element of earth. The situation and interaction are accompanied by a fabric banner whose word sequence DETACH DISOLVE RELIEVE thematises dissolution, detachment and disappearance.

A collaboration and participatroy care project by April Gertler (USA), Onur Ceritoğlu (TUR), Ingrid Offermann (GER), Min Lai (SGP), Ella Ziegler (GER).

HOW THE FRUIT COMES OF THE TREE was also presented at The Week of Happiness in the context of European City of Science 2024 (ECSK 2024) in Katowice, Poland.
