With the lecture performance HOLY SHIT, a quiz show about disgust, ecology, dung beetles and the cultural history of sanitary systems, festival visitors play a multiple choice quiz. The quiz reveals the breathtaking ecological dead end into which humanity has manoeuvred itself for around 150 years. The festival recycled the excrement of visitors on-site in a sanitary experimental setup.

A separation toilet, an excrement drying rack, a charcoal oven, and a tree nursery whose trees were fertilized with the nutrient-rich organic carbon produced from the excrement of festival visitors brought our ‘POOP in the LOOP’.
